Len Sassaman

From Satoshipedia, the Satoshi Mail encyclopedia

Len Sassaman was the maintainer of the Mixmaster anonymous remailer code.[1] He died in July 2011, a few months after the last email from Satoshi in this archive. A tribute to him was embedded in the Bitcoin blockchain.[2]

Sassaman does not appear in Satoshi's correspondence. A BitcoinTalk user suggested him as Satoshi in 2013, and developer Evan Hatch proposed him in 2021.[1] The 2026 documentary Finding Satoshi proposed that Satoshi was a partnership between Sassaman and Hal Finney.[2] Neither man can respond.
