Martti Malmi
From Satoshipedia, the Satoshi Mail encyclopedia
Martti Malmi, known online as sirius, is a developer from Finland who volunteered to help Satoshi in May 2009. He exchanged more emails with Satoshi than anyone else in this archive.
Working with Satoshi
Malmi wrote to Satoshi in May 2009 after promoting Bitcoin on a forum. Satoshi replied that “your understanding of bitcoin is spot on” and asked for help: “What we need most right now is website writing. My writing is not that great, I'm a much better coder.” (the conversation).
Over the next two years Malmi worked on the bitcoin.org website and FAQ, set up the forum that became BitcoinTalk (“Forum”) and organised translations (“Translation”). In December 2009 he told Satoshi he planned a small exchange service that would take PayPal at first (the email). They corresponded until February 2011.
Publication
Malmi published the emails on his own GitHub page, and nakamoto-archive keeps a copy.[1] Satoshi Mail shows them under his label (open the label).
